For this edition of cities on film we asked for submissions from London. Once again, we received some incredible photos - seeing the city through so many eyes is such a joy, and really shows off the variety and excitement of London. - Eye culture is a lab favourite, and promises good quality processing and development for a great price
- Analogue films has been recommended by so many MFA community members - an affordable and reliable film processing lab
- Parallax photographic coop is a great resource online and in person. They stock film, film storage products and work as a lab
- Film Bros stock affordable film
- Aperture London boasts a huge camera collection, stocks film and also offers a rental service if you want to try a new model out for a bit before you buy. There's also a camera museum!
- Magma and Mag Culture don't stock cameras but they are some of the best places to pick up books and magazines on film and photography
- Whatever type of art you're interested in, you can find something for you at the Tate Modern and Tate Britain, and they're free to visit
- The Photographers Gallery is a must visit for any film buffs, with five floors of changing exhibitions and the best photobook shop in the city. There's a wall of different film stocks you can choose from in the shop as well!
- Catch a show at the Barbican theatre, or see whatever exhibition is on at the gallery
- The cinema at the BFI Southbank shows a huge selection of films, from old classics to new releases
- The V&A can always be counted on for incredible exhibitions, as well as great full time collections on art, photography, design, history and fashion
- Hamiltons gallery is another photography gallery, specialising in modern masters
- Celebrating design in every form, The Design Museum has been highlighted as one of the best museums in Europe
- Head to Blackfriars and walk along to London Bridge for shots of that classic London skyline
- Olympic park
- Alexandra Palace, where you can do the parkland walk from Finsbury Park
- Hampstead Heath open swimming ponds are a must in the summer
- Trellick tower is a unique, brutalist landmark that has been the backdrop for some great shoots
- Visit Primrose Hill at sunset for uninterrupted views of the city
- For a taste of Italy, head to Lancaster Gate - walk through the gardens and sprawl in the park
- Take a brutalist tour of London, making sure to check off the Southbank centre, the National Theatre and the Barbican
